RN/Registered Nurse - Nursing Shift Supervisor - FT (Bell Operating Room)

Responsibilities- Under the supervision of the Manager, the Supervisor assists/supports the division or unit administratively and clinically.
- Assists in supervisory planning, organizing, directing, coordinating, and controlling activities.
- Responsible for overall assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of patient care on the unit.
- Ensures efficient day to day operations of the department and optimum use of resources to maximize productivity.
- Fosters an environment of collaboration and respect with physician colleagues, nurses and other healthcare team members.
- Maintains current knowledge of and ensures compliance with all regulatory and professional standards of care.
- Develops, prepares and monitors personnel staffing schedules, supply and equipment budgets in collaboration with staff and support department directors.
- Collaborates with Nurse Manager, Director and Physician leadership to establish patient care standards.
- Provides mentorship for excellence in clinical practice and patient and employee satisfaction.
- Creates and maintains a supportive work environment for the entire team.
- Assists with hiring, education and performance evaluation of staff.
- Provides opportunities for growth and development of personnel and arranges for appropriate education and training of staff.
Education and Experience
- Associate Degree Nursing or Advanced Diploma; ADN acceptable without BSN requirement.
- Bachelor Degree Nursing.
- 3 or more years of applicable nursing experience.
Education and Experience
- Master Degree Nursing.
- Previous supervisory experience.
- Licensed Registered Nurse (LRN) in Kansas.
- Must secure a Nurse Compact License (NCL) within 60 days of hire.
- BLS, ACLS, TNCC, PALS as indicated by clinical area.
