Cooperidge Consulting Firm is seeking Operating Room Registered Nurses (OR RNs) for a top healthcare client in Kansas City, KS
.
These positions play a vital role in delivering high-quality, patient-centered perioperative care. OR RNs will manage preoperative preparation, intraoperative monitoring, and postoperative safety across various surgical specialties. Ideal candidates are experienced in both scrubbing and circulating roles, demonstrate exceptional attention to detail, and thrive in a fast-paced surgical environment.
PayCooperidge Consulting Firm provided pay range:
Base pay range $71,000.00/yr – $/yr. Actual pay will depend on skills and experience.
- Evaluate patients before surgery and provide preoperative education to patients and families.
- Prepare patients for procedures, including IV therapy, medication administration, and site verification.
- Participate in surgical site verification processes—briefing, time-out, debriefing, and documentation.
- Assist in surgical procedures as a scrub and circulating nurse, ensuring adherence to aseptic technique.
- Monitor and document patient status throughout procedures and recovery phases.
- Respond promptly to patient emergencies and critical changes in condition.
- Collaborate effectively with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and surgical technologists as part of an interdisciplinary team.
- Promote safety, efficiency, and patient advocacy through continuous quality improvement.
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program (Diploma, ADN, or BSN) required.
- Minimum of 1 year of recent OR RN experience (scrub and circulating required).
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 30 days of hire.
- Strong technical and critical thinking abilities in surgical environments.
- Effective communication and teamwork skills.
- High level of organization and adaptability in dynamic OR settings.
