Position SummaryThe Quality Inspector plays a critical role in ensuring the quality and compliance of Orange EV charger systems and electrical assemblies. This position supports in‑line and end‑of‑line inspections, focuses on electrical and electronic components, and is hands‑on within the production environment. The role works closely with the Quality Engineer and cross‑functional teams (Production, Receiving Inspection, Process Engineering, and other Quality teams).
PositionResponsibilities
- Perform in‑line and final inspections of electrical assemblies, including wiring harnesses, connectors, relays, sensors, and power distribution modules.
- Use and understand quality core tools such as Inspection Checklists, Control Plans, and inspection SOPs. Demonstrate analytical, problem‑solving, verbal, writing, and interpersonal skills.
- Interpret and apply electrical schematics and mechanical drawings to validate build accuracy.
- Maintain traceability of serialized parts and assemblies, ensuring accurate documentation and data entry.
- Perform Pre‑Delivery Inspection (PDI) on charger systems to ensure compliance with all required quality standards.
- Document non‑conformances and support root‑cause analysis and corrective actions.
- Collaborate with Production, Process Engineering, and Quality teams to resolve quality issues in real time.
- Support continuous improvement (CI) initiatives and contribute to quality‑related training and awareness efforts.
- Level II: 3–4 years of QA/QC inspection experience, preferably in automotive, manufacturing, or electrical manufacturing, with growth potential to Level III within 18 months.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics.
- Familiarity with inspection SOPs, control plans, and checklists.
- Basic to intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office tools.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Preferred:
Background in sheet metal fabrication, coating, and/or electrical/electronic component assembly. - Preferred:
Awareness of CSA marks, ISO 9001, or IATF 16949 standards.
- Level II → Level III:
Within 18 months with increased responsibility and technical depth.
- Minimum:
High School diploma or equivalent required.
