Base pay range$17.00/hr - $19.00/hr
Responsibilities- Execute, monitor, and train inventory best practices and standard operating procedures for the entire store, including front end and pharmacy inventory processes.
- Support pharmacy inventory management activities, including receiving, counting, ordering, returns, and validation of planograms.
- Review and coordinate the use of reports and system applications affecting front end and pharmacy on-hand balances and pricing.
- Implement front end and pharmacy asset protection techniques and file claims for warehouse/vendor overages, shortages, order errors or damaged goods (including prescription drugs).
- Open and close the store in the absence of store management in designated stores, including cash handling and cashier responsibilities and ensuring readiness for the business day.
- Engage customers, resolve issues, and model customer service best practices to deliver a positive experience.
- Execute and coach team members on warehouse and vendor inventory management processes, including creating, reviewing, and receiving orders.
- Scan deliveries, manage One Box receiving, and address undelivered or incorrect orders with vendors as needed.
- Verify pharmacy shipments and postings for products received; complete postings for pharmacy orders and recalls under supervision of the pharmacist-in-charge.
- Complete On-Shelf Availability (OSA) end-to-end processes for planogrammed departments, including disposals, call-ins, and vendor returns.
- Maintain accurate inventory counts and ensure on-hand quantities across departments and stockrooms are up to date.
- Ensure compliance with state/local laws for regulated products (e.g., alcohol and tobacco).
- Assist in inventory records maintenance, receiving/posting, and documentation of invoices/receipts/returns.
- Prepare for physical inventory and support inventory day activities, including coordinating with third-party teams.
- Support cleanliness and merchandising across counters and shelves; maintain knowledge of store systems and equipment.
- Assist and coach team on package delivery activities, scanning in/out, and returns; support Pickup Program execution.
- As leader on duty in designated stores, manage applicable POS responsibilities, including scanning errors, price verifications, price changes, refunds, and cash handling per policy.
- Adhere to company policies and maintain respectful coworker relationships; perform additional assigned tasks as needed.
- Six months of prior Walgreens experience (internal candidates) or one year of prior retail experience (external candidates).
- Fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English (except in Puerto Rico).
- Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends.
- Demonstrated attention to detail and ability to multi-task and manage execution; experience identifying operational issues and implementing solutions.
- Preferred experience as a shift lead, pharmacy technician, designated hitter, or customer service associate; prior Walgreens experience is a plus.
- Attend company trainings and complete all required e-learning modules, including safety training.
- Obtain and maintain a valid pharmacy license/certification as required by state.
- Serve as liaison between management and team members; coach and develop inventory capabilities and communicate tasks; report disciplinary issues and customer complaints as needed.
