Freezer, Cooler, and Deli Stocker Associate

Join Sam's Club as a Freezer, Cooler, and Deli Stocker Associate and help keep our fresh food shelves stocked and clean.

Base Pay Range: $17.00/hr – $24.00/hr

• Ensure high-quality products are taken care of and available for our members;
• Maintain clean shelves, temperature control, verify expiration dates, and dispose of lower quality food products;
• Pack ready‑to‑sell products in proper containers and stock displays;
• Maintain a clean, sanitized, and member‑ready area;
• Maintain safety of the facility by following all safety standards, procedures, and guidelines;
• Conduct safety sweeps, follow proper forklift spotting procedures, handle and dispose of hazardous materials, and report unsafe situations;
• Follow company policies for the freezer/cooler/deli area, including food‑handling policies, operating, repairing, and sanitizing equipment, and monitoring freezer/cooler fans, drains, and doors;
• Provide member service by acknowledging members, identifying their needs, locating merchandise, assisting with purchasing decisions, providing deli products, resolving issues, and promoting company products and services;
• Follow company policies and procedures for the freezer/cooler area and clean the area (windows, mirrors, display cases, and coolers); report issues to management;
• Assist with receiving and stocking merchandise, setting up, cleaning, and organizing product displays, removal of damaged goods, signing and pricing merchandise, completing required audits, paperwork, logs, and other documentation, and securing fragile and high‑shrink merchandise;
• Apply out‑of‑box thinking to solve problems and adapt quickly to changing work scenarios;
• Keep member satisfaction as a top priority;
• Act as a solution seeker and innovator who tackles obstacles head‑on;
• Maintain an open, curious, and creative mindset to drive continuous improvement.

• Must be 18 years of age or older;
• Ability to succeed in completing all required job training and assessments within a prescribed time period if hired;
• Must be able to lift and/or move up to 50 lbs continuously or up to 100 lbs for short periods of time;
• Ability to work weekends, holidays, evenings, and early mornings as needed;
• Knowledge of or willingness to learn safe food handling and sanitation practices.

• Experience stocking or working in a retail or grocery environment;
• Previous experience in a fresh food station, such as a freezer, cooler, or deli, is a plus;
• Strong customer service skills and a friendly tone of voice;
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment.

Additional compensation may be awarded in the form of hourly premiums ranging from $0.35 to $3.00 per hour under specific circumstances.
