• Design, implement, and test well‑documented software in Go.
• Debug and fix issues encountered by users and the internal community.
• Participate in code, architectural, and community reviews.
• Collaborate with colleagues and external communities on technical specifications.
• Identify and advocate for improvements to engineering and operations practices.
• In some cases, deploy and operate services developed by the team.

• Strong academic background in computer science or STEM, or a compelling alternative path.
• Experience designing and writing high‑quality Golang software on Linux.
• Proficiency with Linux at the system level (Debian or Ubuntu preferred).
• Ability to work independently and deliver against schedule.
• Professional communication skills in English, written and spoken.
• High personal drive to meet commitments and deliver high‑quality code.
• Willingness to travel up to two times a year for company events (up to two weeks each).
• For senior roles, experience building, deploying, and operating distributed systems and APIs.

• Development experience for Ubuntu Linux.
• Knowledge of Juju, LXD, Microk8s, Snapd, Ubuntu Core, and Ubuntu Pro.
• Performance engineering and security experience.
