LocationRemote work is supported for all time zones.
Responsibilities- Design, implement, and test well‑documented software in Go.
- Debug and fix issues encountered by users and the internal community.
- Participate in code, architectural, and community reviews.
- Collaborate with colleagues and external communities on technical specifications.
- Identify and advocate for improvements to engineering and operations practices.
- In some cases, deploy and operate services developed by the team.
- Strong academic background in computer science or STEM, or a compelling alternative path.
- Experience designing and writing high‑quality Golang software on Linux.
- Proficiency with Linux at the system level (Debian or Ubuntu preferred).
- Ability to work independently and deliver against schedule.
- Professional communication skills in English, written and spoken.
- High personal drive to meet commitments and deliver high‑quality code.
- Willingness to travel up to two times a year for company events (up to two weeks each).
- For senior roles, experience building, deploying, and operating distributed systems and APIs.
- Development experience for Ubuntu Linux.
- Knowledge of Juju, LXD, Microk8s, Snapd, Ubuntu Core, and Ubuntu Pro.
- Performance engineering and security experience.
