LHH Recruitment Solutions is partnering with a growing, multi-entity organization in the Kansas City area to identify a Staff Accountant for its corporate accounting team. This is a great opportunity for an early-career accounting professional who wants broader exposure to month-end close, financial reporting, account reconciliations, audit support, and process improvement.
The Staff Accountant will work closely with accounting leadership and operating teams across the organization.
Responsibilities- Support the monthly close process for corporate and affiliated entities
- Prepare journal entries for accruals, prepaids, intercompany transactions, allocations, and other accounting activity
- Complete and review balance sheet account reconciliations
- Research discrepancies, aging items, and unsupported account activity
- Assist with accounts payable, accounts receivable, and recurring financial reporting
- Support fixed asset and lease-related accounting activities
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- 1 - 3 years of accounting experience
- CPA (preferred)
