Summary
The IG Compliance Coordinator is responsible for producing a variety of work product related to information governance across all offices. This includes managing records lifecycle associated with paper file management, client response audits, and data governance of the records management system. The Coordinator must work effectively with numerous lawyers, paralegals, and staff members, maintaining the highest levels of respect, confidentiality, and professionalism in the execution of responsibilities.

Required Education & Experience- College Degree or equivalent work experience.
- 3-4 years law firm or records management experience.
- Strong computer skills required.
- Law firm experience preferred.
- Information Governance (90%)
- Coordinates client audit responses.
- Works closely with Manager/Supervisor to implement retention/disposition policies for client and firm records.
- Responsible for projects related to internal audits for all warehouse activity.
- Responsible for documenting disposition in automated IG systems and ensuring that actual records destruction occurs within firm guidelines.
- Searches for materials not readily available to resolve requests.
- Collects and documents client requests to release paper file sets; coordinates with IG Matter Mobility Specialists to ensure timely release.
- Maintains Transition Centers to keep records organized and easily retrieved.
- Ensures daily requests are met across all offices.
- Keeps records locations accurately documented within the records system.
- General and Administrative (10%)
- Performs other duties as assigned.

- Highly professional with strong customer service orientation, commitment to meeting deadlines, and ability to multitask in a fast‑paced and dynamic environment.

- Regular and predictable attendance is essential.
This position has no supervisory responsibilities.

Work Environment & Physical DemandsThis job operates in a professional office environment with standard office equipment. The role may require additional hours to complete work. Physical demands include sitting, using hands, standing, walking, reaching, occasional lifting up to 25 pounds.
