** Job Description
** Bishop Spencer Place is Kansas City's premier retirement community and a proud member of the Saint Luke's Health System. We are looking for a customer-focused Receptionist to work on a PRN (as needed) basis (as described below). The Receptionist is the initial positive contact point for resident and visitor encounters. In addition, our Receptionists have the following accountabilities:
* PRN covering the 7:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. schedule on an as-needed basis
* Meets and greets visitors to the community in a friendly and positive manner.
* Answers telephone, determines nature of call and directs caller to appropriate individual or department.
* Maintains current listings of resident and staff phone numbers.
* Scheduling and dispatching drivers for resident transportation.
* Processes maintenance and housekeeping work orders.
* Makes photocopies, sends faxes, and performs other administrative duties for residents and department managers.
* Processes and distributes incoming mail.  Helps send outgoing mail.  Sells stamps to residents and staff.
* Monitors and responds to fire alarm system and weather radio.
* Distributes employee lockers and parking tags.
