BIM​/CAD Operator

Overview

Responsible for understanding, upholding, and promoting the Everus 4

Draw/coordinate on a large variety of new and existing construction projects based on information derived from MEP construction drawings.

• High school diploma/GED is required.
• 1+ year of electrical design experience or technical training is required.

• 3+ years of electrical design experience or technical training is preferred.
• Job site/field experience is preferred.

• Thorough understanding of electrical systems.
• General working knowledge of common computer software applications, including Microsoft Office Suite.
• Thorough working knowledge of construction software applications, including Autodesk Revit, Autodesk Navisworks, Auto Cad, Bluebeam Revu, and Trimble.
• Thorough understanding of Autodesk Revit, including the ability to create Revit worksheets, manipulate Revit families, and perform similar Revit functions.
• Fluent in 2D and 3D space; able to read 2D plans and coordinate in 3D with other trades.
• Attention to detail and the ability to execute on multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks and/or projects simultaneously, changing priorities as necessary.
• Team player with the ability to share information to increase department expertise.
• Professional interaction with all levels of employees, vendors, clients, and others.

• Draw/coordinate on a large variety of new and existing construction projects based on information derived from MEP construction drawings.
• Setup of Revit views and sheets in preparation for field installation.
• Annotate and dimension shop drawings for field installation.
• Utilize Bluebeam Revu software to markup PDF drawings and communicate with team members.
• Prepare copies and help make sets of documents for transmittal to other parties.
• Download drawings and information from the Web, SharePoint, or other project websites (BIM 360, etc.).
• Verify accuracy of work before sending on to next steps.
• Typically drawing/coordination work includes 3D modeling of all electrical systems and developing design drawings.
• Ability to read, analyze, understand, and interpret design and construction documents.
• Utilize BIM to increase the team s understanding of problems and solutions and assist the construction and field team in solving issues throughout the project.
• BIM coordination and preparation of field and pre-fab drawings, reports, and schedules.
• Maintain project files.
• Develop increased proficiency in system operation with a resulting increase in productivity and learn how to use all software options.
• Perform other tasks and special projects as assigned.
