Position: Middle School Assistant Girls Soccer Coach (Lincoln Middle)

PURPOSE OF JOB:
Provide instruction, leadership, and supervision to middle school students participating in the sports program.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Assist with practices by emphasizing teamwork, skill development, understanding rules and strategies, and student-athlete improvement.

Assist with academic monitoring in collaboration with teachers, counselors, and support staff.

Supervise student-athletes before, during, and after practices and contests, including in locker rooms, on buses, and at other times. Be present at all practices and games, arriving on time and remaining until all student-athletes have left.

Manage equipment and inventory responsibly.

Complete all required paperwork such as rosters, physicals, insurance forms, and parent consent forms.

Coordinate transportation, facilities, officials, and game management details.

Maintain ethical conduct during practices and contests, exemplifying high standards of sportsmanship.

Assist in program coordination.

Promote student-athletes' academic and athletic achievements.

Pursue professional growth through clinics and publications.

Student-athletes

MINIMUM QUALIFICATION:
Must hold a Teacher's Certificate, Substitute Certificate, or Temporary (provisional) Teacher’s Certificate.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Be a full or part-time employee within the District.
Be employed as a teacher or administrator in the school applying for the position.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
The physical requirements include sitting, standing, walking, speaking, hearing, using hands and fingers, reaching, bending, stooping, and lifting objects of at least 25 pounds. Reasonable accommodations may be provided for individuals with disabilities.
