ACADEMIC TEACHER – ADOLESCENT

Position Responsibilities:

The Academic Teacher will be expected to use teaching techniques to achieve curriculum goals and effect student learning; to uphold Biblical principles and a Christian philosophy of education throughout the curriculum and to model a consistent, daily walk with Jesus Christ.

Key Tasks:

• Cooperate with the administration in implementing all policies, procedures and directives governing the operation of the center.
• Keep proper discipline in classroom and on school premises for a good teaching/learning environment while maintaining a clean and safe classroom.
• Assess the learning of students on a regular basis and provide progress reports as required.
• Maintain regular, accurate attendance and grade records to meet the demands for a comprehensive knowledge of each student’s progress.
• While following established guidelines for dealing with students, parents and administration, proactively communicate with all concerning each student’s performance and progress, providing sufficient notice of deficiencies and potential failure.
