Now Hiring Substitute Teachers – Kansas City, Missouri

Teachers Now is looking to hire dependable and motivated Substitute Teachers to serve Frontier Schools in Kansas City, Missouri. This position offers a rewarding opportunity to support student learning, provide instructional continuity, and contribute to a positive and productive classroom environment when regular teachers are away.

Compensation
$110–$140 per day
(Pay is based on your education level/long term assignments)

• Lead classroom instruction using lesson plans provided by the teacher
• Create a respectful and well‑organized learning environment
• Manage classroom behavior and encourage student participation
• Supervise students during lunch, recess, and transitions
• Assign and review classwork and homework aligned with learning goals
• Record attendance and report concerns to school staff
• Collaborate with school personnel to support academic and behavioral outcomes
• For long‑term roles, develop and deliver your own lesson plans in alignment with curriculum

• Availability:
  Monday through Friday
• Full Day: 7:00 AM – 4:00 PM
• Half Day:
  Between 7:00 AM – 12:00 PM or 12:00 PM – 4:00 PM (Depends on grade level - 4 hour shift)

  • Minimum High School Diploma (required)
  • Associate's/Bachelor’s Degree (preferred)
  • 1 year of experience in a classroom or childcare setting (preferred)
  • Strong communication skills (verbal and written)
  • Dependable transportation and consistent attendance
• Paid Training (STEDI Training provided by Teachers Now)
