We are seeking a Senior Student Recruitment Specialist to lead and support recruitment and admissions efforts for undergraduate programs within the Bloch School. This position plays a key role in achieving enrollment goals by developing and executing strategic recruitment initiatives that attract a diverse and talented student population.
Key Responsibilities- Assist with the development and execution of recruitment strategies for Bloch's undergraduate programs.
- Serve as a key contact and advise prospective students and their families, school counselors/teachers, and other stakeholders.
- Guide students through the admissions process, including program requirements and scholarship opportunities.
- Coordinate and participate in on-campus and virtual recruitment events, including representing the Bloch School at high schools, college fairs, and community events.
- Collaborate with UMKC Admissions and UMKC Marketing & Communications team to develop recruitment materials and campaigns.
- Assist with managing Bloch's prospective student funnel (inquiries, applicants, admits) and maintain accurate records of recruitment activities and student engagement.
- Support enrollment goals through data-informed planning and relationship building.
- Provide transfer advice for BBA and BSA programs, including coursework articulation.
- Assist with supervision and support of Bloch School student staff.
- Assist with budget allocation and resource planning for Bloch Undergraduate Admissions & Recruitment.
- A bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- At least one year of experience in student recruitment, admissions, or a related field.
- This position requires regular travel and participation in evening and weekend events. A personal vehicle and valid driver's license are required.
- Bachelor's degree in business, education, communications, or a related field.
- One year of experience in higher education admissions or student services.
- Passion for promoting access to higher education.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and public speaking skills.
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and meet deadlines.
- Experience with CRM systems, data analysis, and strategic planning.
- Availability to work evenings and weekends as needed.
- Valid driver's license and access to reliable transportation for regional travel.
This is a non-exempt, hourly-paid position with a rate up to $25.00/hr (commensurate with education, experience, and internal equity).
