Special Events Coordinator

Job Summary:
Pembroke Hill School is seeking an organized and detail-oriented individual to serve as the Special Events Coordinator for the Development team. Reporting to the Director of Development Operations, this role supports all Development-related events that enhance the PHS brand, expand and enhance relationships and cultivate philanthropic support.

- Associate or bachelor’s degree preferred, ideally in event/project management, business, communications, hospitality management, marketing, or logistics.
- Previous experience in event planning required.
- Self-starter with strong project management skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize deadlines effectively.
- Excellent communication, writing and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Creative with attention to detail and a keen eye for aesthetics.
- Proven ability to maintain confidentiality, professionalism, and ethical standards.
- Must be able to work with a commitment to the mission, philosophy, and values of Pembroke Hill School.
- Occasional evening work required.
- Flexibility to work evenings and weekends as required for event coverage, evenings (1 - 2 evenings per month until 8 p.m.) and occasional weekend days (approximately 4 per year), for these occasions, hours may flex.
- Coordinate and execute all aspects of special events, including but not limited to alumni, fundraising initiatives, stewardship, donor cultivation and community outreach programs.
- Collaborate with various departments and stakeholders to develop event concepts, themes, timelines, and budgets.
- Manage event logistics such as venue selection, catering, guest lists, invitations, and onsite coordination.
This is a 12-month, full-time position with paid time off in accordance with employee benefit plans. Occasional evening or weekend commitments may be required for school functions, meetings, or conferences.
CompensationCompensation will be based on related experience and education and aligned with competitive local market data. Transcripts and verification of employment will be required.
