The University of Missouri-Kansas City Conservatory is looking for a full-time, tenure-track Assistant Professor of Voice, starting in Fall 2027. This position focuses on musical theatre and contemporary-commercial styles, aiming to enhance the existing voice programs rather than create a new major. The successful candidate should have a strong foundation in vocal technique and pedagogy, and be able to teach students to perform across various genres including classical, musical theatre, and contemporary styles.

The role involves preparing singers to be versatile artists with modern skills suitable for a range of careers in the 21st century. Candidates should demonstrate excellence in teaching and performance, with experience in applying vocal techniques to musical theatre and contemporary music. Responsibilities include guiding students in song interpretation, acting through song, and maintaining healthy vocal practices.
