Sr. Project Manager - Energy Solutions

This position is Remote with 25% travel on Central and East coast.

As a Sr. Project Manager you will work with engineering and business development team members to develop the project scope of work and plan the construction work. You will be responsible for budgeting and estimating costs, qualifying contractors, and overseeing the subcontractor and vendor bid process. During construction, you will be responsible for project financials, conducting construction administration duties, and working with and managing our onsite Construction Manager to support the field operations.

The Sr. Project Manager ensures effective communications between customers and project team members are maintained. You will be ultimately responsible for completing the project on time, within budget, and at the quality level the owner and our team expects. This job opening is specifically for a large, multi-year wastewater industrial project.

• Work closely with your team / Construction Managers to ensure project success. Establish, manage, and provide leadership to job/project team.
• Ensure subcontractors, vendors, and all site personnel including visitors live up to safety standards and maintain a healthy safe working environment.
• Assist with developing, maintaining, and updating the overall project schedule as well as short term and long-term planning with the project team.
• Identify, plan, coordinate, and execute critical work items.
• Responsible for jobsite mobilization, movement, and demobilization logistics.
• Review and approve daily work tickets and maintain daily logs of work performed onsite.
• Coordinate subcontractors, vendors, suppliers, and consultants.
• Coordinate work between trades or subcontractors.
• Regularly communicate, formally and informally, company goals, policies, plans and priorities to field personnel.
• Manage project costs and changes in scope.
• Manage close out punch list and commissioning activities in a timely manner.
• Review contracts, submittals, and installation documents to verify completeness and installation compliance.
• Assist engineering team in writing and reviewing scopes of work.
• Assist engineering team with subcontractor, vendor, and supplier bid procurement.
• Resolve subcontractor disputes.
• Schedule training to facility personnel when turning over building.
• Inspect equipment upon delivery and inventory delivery tickets.
• Prepare, log, file and distribute Construction Manager daily reports.
• Ensure client concerns are resolved in a timely manner.
• Identify potential issues and solve problems.
• Treat clients and project partners better than they expect.

• BA/BS degree in Construction Management, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Architecture or Facilities Management, or equivalent work experience preferred
• 5+ years' experience as a Project Manager in industrial Civil, Mechanical or General Construction. Experience coordinating and overseeing multiple jobs simultaneously.
• Knowledge of general construction processes including industrial water processes, mechanical systems, building systems (electrical, mechanical, HVAC, boilers and controls).
• Experience running jobs small and large ($5,000,000 to $50,000,000).
• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and multi-tasking abilities.
• Ability to read and interpret drawings.
• Problem solving skills and creative use of resources to get the job done.
