Base pay range$61,100.00/yr - $84,000.00/yr
About the roleAt Jacobs, we’re not just building structures; we’re helping our clients innovate and grow by designing, engineering, and executing the construction of their state‑of‑the‑art facilities that are changing our world. We are looking for a driven and curious Structural Design Technician to provide leadership and support our Built Environment team. As a key member of our Advanced Manufacturing team, you’ll develop design concepts, create models from scratch, and coordinate designs with existing conditions and other disciplines.
You’ll convey structural requirements through 2D paper deliverables and/or BIM 3D Revit models. You’ll also have the chance to provide leadership for a small project, establish project standards and procedures, train teammates, and build morale.

- Lead a small project team, establish project standards and procedures, train team members, and build & maintain team morale.
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- At least 5 years drafting/design experience in the structural field.
- At least 1 year of Revit experience.
- At least 3 years AutoCAD design experience.
- At least 2 years of Revit experience.
- Experience working on traditional steel and concrete structures.
- Experience leading a team of designers.
- Experience with healthcare, institutional, and commercial buildings.
- Experience with Navisworks and Bluebeam.
