Overview
Graduate Engineer, Mechanical - Systems at Black & Veatch. Entry-level Mechanical Engineer role supporting Conventional, Nuclear, and Thermal Performance sections with opportunities to contribute to diverse, impactful projects and professional growth.

- Engineering Standards:
Develop familiarity by reading, understanding and applying departmental design guides, standards, systems, applicable engineering codes and Black & Veatch policies and procedures. - Quality / Continuous Improvement:
Develop an understanding of and comply with the Black & Veatch quality program; support continuous improvement and change management efforts. - Engineering Production:
Contribute to the preparation of less complex engineering deliverables such as drawings, reports, specifications, and studies of limited scope; perform routine research and develop recommendations for equipment and/or materials selection; collect, assimilate, and manage data; prepare basic engineering calculations; understand and adhere to budget, schedule, and quality requirements. - Project Coordination:
Share information as requested; coordinate with others when directed by supervisor or project leadership. - Client Focus:
Focus on internal project team needs while gaining basic understanding of external client interests; may support business development or pursuit activities. - Knowledge Sharing, Innovation and Technology:
Share knowledge of current technology and processes.
Requires a bachelor's degree in engineering from an accredited program. All applicants must be able to complete pre-employment onboarding requirements (if selected), which may include criminal/civil background check, drug screen, and motor vehicle records search, in compliance with applicable laws and regulations.

Hybrid or flexible work options may be offered after the first 90 days of employment based on manager direction, job performance and work assignments.
Compensation & BenefitsAnnual compensation range for this job and location: $76,950.00 - $90,229.65.
