Process Utilities Engineer II

Key Responsibilities- Develop engineering calculations from first principles when templates are unavailable.
- Create construction drawing packages and write specifications for projects of limited complexity under supervision.
- Support construction activities including RFI responses, submittal reviews, punch list development and progress reporting.
- Participate in squad checks to ensure coordinated, high‑quality deliverables.
- Mentor Designer I staff in translating engineering designs into Revit models.
- Contribute to advanced deliverables such as:
- Basis of Design reports
- Hazardous Material Summaries
- Water/Waste Balances
- Heat Transfer Calculations
- Simulation Output Analysis
- Process Descriptions
- Equipment and Hygienic Piping Specifications
- Room Cards
- ABET‑accredited Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Chemical, or Bioprocess Engineering.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in a manufacturing or design firm setting.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Familiarity with industry regulations and local building codes.
- Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) exam registration or completion.
- High proficiency in engineering calculations related to fluid mechanics, heat transfer, and material/energy balances.
- Experience conducting field surveys and resolving field issues.
- Ability to lead and interface with clients and external partners.
- Proficiency in cross‑discipline coordination and collaboration with vendors and construction partners.
- Skilled in 2D/3D design platforms (AutoCAD, Revit).
- Programming proficiency is a plus.
