Coordinate with remote drafting and GIS personnel to produce construction drawings for the network
Plan, design, and obtain permits for new cable routes
Work as part of a multi-faceted team of engineering, construction, project management, and scheduling personnel, all with a common interest of delivering results to the customer
Engage regularly with the customer’s engineering team and project management for updates and feedback
Provide frequent project progress updates and risk assessments to the management team
Design aerial and underground fiber optic routes
Other duties as assigned
To be 18 years of age or older
Authorization to work in the United States for this company
Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or a related field, plus at least three years of relevant experience, or an equivalent combination
Proficient with Excel & Word
Telecommunications industry standards
Regulations for OSP facilities
Aerial and underground construction methods and engineering requirements
Government permit requirements
OSP facilities, construction techniques and conduit records
Easement, right of way and permit documents
AutoCAD/Microstation or Geographic Information Systems
Fiber optic counts, fiber assignments and splicing schematics
Routinely: operate vehicle, walk, use keyboard and mouse
Occasionally: climb stairs and stand
