The position leads a team of engineers responsible for planning transmission system facilities, providing operations support, and performing system impact studies across long-term planning horizons.
The manager assists in the development of the transmission and substation capital budget by identifying, evaluating, and prioritizing projects; ensures studies support compliance with applicable NERC Reliability Standards; oversees power-flow, dynamic, and short-circuit modeling in PSS/E; directs load-addition studies; and ensures timely, high-quality responses to Southwest Power Pool (SPP), internal and external customers, and regulatory filing needs.
