CAGE CASHIER

Located just east of downtown Kansas City, Ameristar Casino Hotel Kansas City is a Midwestern entertainment hub offering a large casino floor, dining venues, and a luxury hotel. The casino provides convenient parking with a five-level, 2,660-space structure and an enclosed walkway to the casino and entertainment center. Ameristar is seeking a Cage Cashier to join our team. The successful candidate will provide excellent guest service and safeguard company funds by maintaining an accurate cash count at all times.

This is a highly visible role, and excellent service to guests and team members is essential.

• High attention to detail
• Strong organization and communication skills
• Ability to work quickly and efficiently
• Handle sales and redemption of chips for guests (e.g., main bank, fill bank, jackpot window)
• Redeem gaming instruments, cash checks, and provide accurate information to guests
• Ensure the security of company funds
• Maintain proper routing of department paperwork
• Balance the window, sell checks and gaming instruments to the main banker
• This is a uniformed position requiring adherence to appearance standards while on duty

Required Knowledge and Skills

• Ability to communicate, understand, and write English
• Ability to work with interruptions
• Excellent math skills
• Proficiency with ten-key calculator
• Good communication and guest service skills
• Data entry and computer skills

Required Education and Experience

• High School diploma or GED
• Some college coursework or degree preferred
• Previous casino cage or cash handling experience preferred
