Join our Corporate Audit Services team as an internal audit professional who assists management in attaining company goals by providing independent and objective assurance and advisory services. Your work will add value and improve operations by evaluating risk management, controls, governance, and operations, and offering constructive recommendations for improvement.
The role is hybrid (Mon – Thu onsite / Fri remote) at our downtown Kansas City, MO location.
How You’ll Spend Your Time- Assist with the execution and advancement of the Quality Assurance & Improvement Program (QAIP).
- Execute components of the QAIP and contribute to the continuing development of the Internal Audit methodology by independently and objectively assessing the effectiveness of the department’s compliance with required standards and industry best practices.
- Support broader initiatives and strategic priorities as assigned by Corporate Audit Services leadership.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration and at least 4 years of experience in audit program development, internal control consulting, or risk management using automated tools and techniques, or an equivalent combination of education and work experience.
- Full proficiency in internal audit standards and regulatory requirements, including Global Internal Audit Standards (IIA).
- In-depth understanding of Control Frameworks (COSO).
- Strategic perspective on the audit process and ability to provide feedback on others’ work in line with internal and regulatory IA requirements.
- Ability to work independently, develop QAIP work programs, and develop training programs for audit team members.
- Strong presentation and communication skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders.
- Industry certification such as Certified Internal Auditor, Certified Bank Auditor, Certified Public Accountant, or Certified Internal Systems Analyst.
- At least 7 years of internal audit and/or external audit experience.
- Knowledge of auditing tools and techniques including Pentana, IDEA, Excel, Power BI, or Tableau.
- Knowledge of IT general and security controls.

Compensation$69,230.00 – $
The posted compensation range on this listing represents UMB’s standard for this role, but the actual compensation may vary by geographic location, experience level, and other job-related factors. This range does not encompass the full earning potential for this role.
