* Job Duties:

*** Responsible for the investigation of Federal and State statutes, and Jackson County and various municipal ordinances; performs a full range of professional, criminal, and internal investigations, regarding alleged violations of department policy involving staff, inmates, volunteers, etc
* Investigates and documents incidents which may leave the department or Jackson County in a position of potential liability
* Responds to all allegations and/or complaints originating from outside the department regarding enforcement of policy and procedure

* Minimum Qualifications:

*** Associate’s Degree from an accredited college or university.
* Two years of experience in corrections or law enforcement, with an emphasis on conducting extensive investigations.
* National Incident Management System (NIMS) Certification preferred
* Must have and maintain valid Missouri or Kansas Driver’s License.
* Certified in Criminal Investigations and Administrative Investigations.
* Must possess/maintain an active telephone in his/her residence.
* Must submit to and pass a police background check and drug screen.
