This position is essential for maintaining the quality and integrity of analytical data within the laboratory environment. The role involves performing routine testing on various samples, contributing to process control, quality assurance, and product development. The successful candidate will work in a dynamic 24-hour production site, adapting to rotating shifts every three to four months, including nights, weekends, and holidays. • Perform routine analytical testing as directed by protocols and work instructions.
• Work a variety of shifts, including weekends and holidays.
• Request additional work to increase team productivity.
• Prepare solutions, clean glassware, and dispose of solid/liquid waste to support laboratory operations.
• Train others on waste management practices.
• Alert lab leadership of issues or discrepancies involving sample integrity, supply inventory, safety concerns, or analysis irregularities.
• Communicate troubleshooting opportunities in testing processes.
• Conduct basic preventative maintenance according to work instructions and identify operational issues with laboratory instruments and equipment.
• Understand and operate Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS), Chromatography Data System (CDS), and other instrument-specific computer systems.
• Search databases for test methods, specifications, and standards necessary for analyses.
• Promptly record, calculate, and report analytical results accurately.
• Review analytical data and various LIMS reports.
• Communicate any issues with team members and supervisors effectively.
• Complete data entry for metrics and KPIs; identify process improvement ideas and communicate opportunities.
• Assist in improving established procedures and implementing continuous improvement projects.
• Communicate testing results to customers as required; act with customers in mind.
• Notify leads when supplies/consumables are at critical levels.
• Observe good safety and housekeeping practices.
• Participate in lab/site safety programs and cross-site initiatives.
• Maintain knowledge of RCRA hazardous waste regulations and communicate discovery of spills or leaks immediately.

• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• High attention to detail with the ability to analyze outcomes against standards.
• Ability to diagnose typical instrument problems with minimal assistance.
• Proficient multitasking skills with the ability to prioritize workload effectively.

• High school diploma plus a minimum of 1 year of laboratory experience.
• Preferred: 3+ years of laboratory experience.
• Understanding of basic HPLC and GC operation is a plus.
