Shift: Days (8‑hour shifts, 8 am–4:30 pm, Monday‑Friday).

Hours:

8 hours per day.

Overview

We are seeking a Patient Account Registrar, sometimes referred to as an Admission Representative, to work in bed management. The Account Registrar will focus on efficient use of hospital beds and maintaining accurate records in collaboration with staff and physicians. This role streamlines hospital operations, reduces wait times, and ensures optimal resource usage while interacting primarily with internal staff.

Responsibilities
  • Coordinate with nursing staff, case managers, and physicians to assign beds for incoming patients based on medical needs, availability, and urgency.
  • Monitor bed occupancy and status in real‑time using hospital information systems.
  • Act as a liaison between various hospital departments to facilitate smooth patient transfers and optimize bed usage.
  • Update patient data in the hospital's electronic medical record (EMR) system to reflect admissions, discharges, and transfers accurately.
  • Run reports and analyze bed utilization trends to support hospital operations.
Qualifications
  • Previous hospital experience as an admissions representative preferred.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology preferred.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to multi‑task, prioritize needs to meet required timelines.
  • Analytical and problem‑solving skills.
  • Customer services experience required.
  • High School Graduate or GED Equivalent Required.
