Dietary Cook Shift: Evening and weekend shift available

• Prepare and serve meals to residents in our community

• Ensure all special dietary needs are met, including preparing texture-modified food as directed

• Maintain compliance with all recordkeeping, food safety, and risk management requirements

• Maintain clean dining areas and dishes using proper procedures; discard leftovers and empty trash

• Understand and follow color coding and abbreviations on tray cards and therapeutic menus

• Maintain kitchen equipment and appliances

• Attend all mandatory in-services, educational trainings, and department meetings

• Friendly with good communication skills

• Ability to communicate effectively with staff and residents

• Ability to read and follow directions

• Able to meet physical demands (stand, sit, walk extended periods, push/pull/lift up to 50 lbs)

• Food service experience preferred

• Knowledge of sanitation and safety guidelines

• High school diploma or GED accepted

• Ability to handle multiple tasks, demonstrate strong organization, time management, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
