Job Details:

• Progressive Care Unit position with 1:5 patient ratios

• 2 years of experience required, previous charge and teaching hospital experience preferred

• 8 weekend shifts required in 6-week schedule period (combination of Friday/Saturday/Sunday)

• Holiday shifts and charge RN assignments as needed per unit

• Must float to all MSI units including ED for inpatient holds

• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS

• Must have Missouri and Kansas licenses or compact license

• 12 hours of orientation provided

• Guaranteed 3 shifts per 13-week contract

• Maximum 7 days request time off allowed

• Required skills include cardiac monitoring, dysrhythmia interpretation and management, telemetry monitoring, IV therapy, phlebotomy, central line care, PICC line management, heparin protocols, cardiac drip management, procedural sedation, tracheostomy care, wound care, and isolation precautions

• Experience with post-cardiac procedures, renal failure management, feeding tube care, chest tubes, CPAP/BIPAP, and high flow nasal cannula required

• Epic charting system experience preferred

• Work with adult and geriatric patient populations

• 2 references required from past year including one supervisor level
