Job Description
The Opportunity:
Saint Luke’s Hospital is currently hiring an PRN/FLOAT Non-CERTIFIED PHARMACY Technician
. An As Needed – PRN - Pharmacy Technician will be scheduled to cover planned and unplanned absence of full-time or part-time employees of BJC West Region Retail/Outpatient Pharmacies – 5 locations (i.e. KC MO, Lees Summit, Overland Park, North KC MO).

- Under the direct supervision of a pharmacist performs all accountabilities associated with input of prescription details, clarifying and resolving insurance rejections, preparing medication for final verification and distribution, managing inventory, managing records , interacting with customers and/or other professional clinical staff providing customer care.
- All medications are checked for accuracy by a pharmacist per the rules and regulations of the State Board of Pharmacy prior to leaving the Department of Pharmacy.
We are seeking a customer focused professional with a passion for healthcare. To be successful, you must enjoy repetitive work and be detailed oriented. This position will require you to work on your feet most of your shift and work autonomously. Pharmacy Tech experience is preferre d, but not required.
PRN employee will be required to be licensed in Missouri and Kansas as a pharmacy technician, will be cross-trained into all roles within the retail pharmacy setting and will be required to have capability and transportation to allow the individual to work at any SLHS Retail Pharmacy location.
