Job DescriptionPOSITION TITLE: Occupational Therapist
F.L.S.A.: Exempt
QUALIFICATIONS: Current Missouri certification in Occupational Therapy (AOTCB)
REPORTS TO: Director of Special Services
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: 190 days for new OT's; 186 days for returning OT's as determined by the Park Hill School District academic calendar
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Screen and evaluate students to determine the need for OT services.
- Provide treatment of students as defined on the IEP.
- Provide consultative services to classroom teachers, special education staff, and to parents both on a formal and informal basis.
- Develop and implement home and school Occupational Therapy programs.
- Document treatment and Medicaid billing logs.
- Document and report evaluation findings and determine treatment needs based on evaluation results.
- Assess adaptive equipment needs, order equipment, and instruct student/staff on equipment usage.
- Supervise COTA and Occupational Therapy student internship programs.
- Collaborate with teachers, diagnostic consultants, and family to provide information about student informally and at formal IEP meetings.
- Demonstrate professional communication and behavior including independence and effective management of time.

Attend professional conferences to update knowledge in OT techniques.

Salary: $48,525 Value Per Year
