Food and Beverage Manager - The Westport Club

The Westport Club offers casual and welcoming waterfront dining, featuring classics, adventurous daily specials, local and craft beers, and a carefully curated wine list—all with stunning Hastings River views.
About the RoleYou will develop and deliver food and beverage strategies, manage all catering and beverage outlets, and inspire a large team to deliver outstanding customer experiences.
Key Responsibilities- Provide end-to-end team leadership, from recruitment and training to performance management and development.
- Champion a positive, safe, and inclusive culture where trust, respect, and fun are core values.
- Deliver on strategic goals by planning promotions, developing seasonal menus, and consistently aligning offerings with the brand and target market.
- Manage wage, food, and beverage costs in line with budget expectations, reporting on progress at leadership meetings.
- Ensure compliance with all hospitality, food, liquor, gaming, health, employment, and safety regulations.
- Build stakeholder relationships and negotiate contracts with suppliers.
- Represent The Westport Club positively in the community, maintaining high standards of personal and team presentation.
- All other duties as required, with flexibility in communication outside normal hours.
- Passion for hospitality and community engagement.
- Proven experience in leading, building, and developing effective teams.
- Valid Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) and Responsible Conduct of Gambling (RCG) certificates.
- Good knowledge of hospitality industry legislation and best practices.
- Relevant qualifications or studies related to hospitality are desirable.
- A dynamic work environment with stunning river views.
