PositionSummary
The Shuttle Driver escorts arriving and departing guests by assisting with their luggage utilizing a friendly, courteous manner. They transport guests as necessary utilizing the property vehicles. They also provide information about the hotel facilities and accommodations while upholding high standards of service.
Essential Duties- Greet customers immediately with a friendly and sincere welcome. Remain calm and attentive, especially during heavy hotel activity.
- Transport guests to the airport or other destinations as instructed, abiding by all traffic laws and rules of the road.
- Listen and respond to guest inquiries using a positive, clear-speaking voice. Answer questions and offer assistance on hotel services, room features, or amenities giving accurate information regarding outlet hours, directions to local attractions or function rooms, car rentals, airline shuttle service, etc.
- Drive guests to the destination of their choice that is within a 5-mile radius of the hotel.
- Complete the Shuttle Driver duties as assigned.
- Ability to understand and follow written and or verbal instructions in English.
- Ability to read English sufficiently enough to obtain information from luggage tags and claim checks to write numbers and names on claim checks and rooming lists.
- Ability to grasp, lift, carry, or otherwise move packages, boxes, and luggage up to 50 lbs. continuously throughout the shift.
- Ability to stand, walk and/or sit and continuously perform essential job functions.
- Sufficient manual dexterity in one hand to be able to load and unload luggage.
- Ability to perform tasks requiring bending, stooping, kneeling, and walking significant distances on property.
- Ability to push and or pull luggage carts continuously throughout the shift.
- No prior experience is required. Prior guest service or other hospitality experience preferred.
- Must possess a valid Driver's License.
- Clear driving record.
