Job Description

The Manufacturing HR Business Partner serves as a critical strategic partner and hands‑on HR leader within automotive manufacturing plants and parts depots. The role supports the hourly and salaried workforce, drives business objectives through HR initiatives, fosters a positive work environment, manages the employee lifecycle, ensures compliance, and champions talent development, engagement, and labor relations on the production floor.

Responsibilities
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to plant leadership, translating business strategy into impactful HR initiatives that optimize organizational effectiveness.
  • Design and execute advanced talent management strategies, including performance optimization, leadership development, succession planning, compensation, and talent acquisition.
  • Leverage HR analytics to extract insights, predict workforce trends, and inform strategic decisions.
  • Champion a high‑performance, inclusive culture and lead employee recognition, DEI initiatives, and cultural events.
  • Lead strategic engagement with labor unions, negotiate agreements, and resolve grievances and disputes.
  • Ensure compliance with employment laws and company policies, manage risk, and uphold ethical standards.
  • Optimize HR operational processes including payroll, attendance, leave programs, and workplace wellness.
  • Maintain daily presence on the plant floor, building relationships and addressing workplace concerns.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Organizational Development, or a related field.
  • 1–3 years of relevant HR and labor experience, preferably in manufacturing.
  • PHR or SHRM‑CP certifications are a plus.
Work Requirements

Onsite presence at the manufacturing plant is required. Occasional lifting of up to 10 pounds (no more than one‑third of the time) and standing on the plant floor at least 20% of the time. Work is primarily seated; no significant stooping, climbing, or repetitive hand‑fingers actions. Noise levels are low to moderate.
