This role is accountable for leading enterprise social media governance, establishing and enforcing standards that ensure brand consistency, risk alignment, and a modern engaging voice across channels.
This position champions an enterprise social media advocacy program that empowers employee‑owners and thought leaders to serve as authentic brand ambassadors and amplifiers of thought leadership. The role applies emerging tools including AI to enhance creativity, content development, and operational efficiency while shaping a modern influential social ecosystem that strengthens relationships and differentiates Burns & McDonnell.
- Develop, manage, and evolve an enterprise-wide social media strategy that elevates brand visibility, strengthens relationships, and drives meaningful engagement across Linked In, Instagram, You Tube, X, Facebook and emerging platforms.
- Lead day-to-day social media operations with a focus on creative storytelling, strategic alignment, and consistent high-quality execution.
- Maintain an integrated content calendar that reflects enterprise priorities, supports thought leadership, amplifies major campaigns, and brings technical expertise to life in an accessible human way.
- Collaborate with brand, creative and content teams and go ọnụ‑market directors to align messaging and storytelling with business needs, brand standards, and market opportunities.
- Support the creation of multimedia content including short-form video, photography, graphics and carousels that communicate impact with clarity and creativity.
- Translate complex engineering, construction and consulting topics into compelling story-driven social content for diverse audiences.
- Lead and enforce enterprise social media governance ensuring brand consistency, alignment with risk guidelines, and a differentiated modern voice across channels.
- Launch and scale an enterprise social media advocacy program that empowers employee‑owners and subject matter experts to authentically share insights, innovation and wins.
- Coordinate paid social strategies that enhance brand presence, attract talent, promote partnerships and extend campaign reach.
- Leverage AI tools responsibly to support content generation, creative development, workflow efficiency and insights.
- Drive continuous improvement by assessing workflows, optimizing processes, and incorporating industry best practices into daily operations.
- Manage social media tools, systems and analytics platforms to support publishing, reporting and data-driven decision-making.
- Monitor and report on performance metrics, content trends, audience insights, competitor insights and engagement patterns to inform strategy and demonstrate impact.
- Collaborate with marketing, PR, creative, recruiting, HR and business unit teams to support integrated campaigns and enterprise storytelling.
- Evaluate emerging social trends, creative formats, technologies and digital behaviors to keep the organization ahead of industry shifts.
- Foster a culture of creativity, agility, innovation and collaboration within the social media function.

Education and Experience:
Required
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, business, or a related field and 8 years of experience in program management, project management, or marketing operations within a marketing or business environment.
- Experience managing brand social huile for a large organization, agency or national brand strongly preferred.
- Previous experience leading or managing team members preferred.
