Overview

We have an immediate opening for Warehouse Material Handlers responsible for moving inventory within the plant while following all operating procedures and regulations. This full‑time position is located in Kansas City, Missouri, on a non‑smoking campus.

Shift: Friday – Sunday 5:00 am – 5:30 pm

Responsibilities

• Participate in training to become a certified Electric Pallet Jack operator.
• Keep accurate counts of stock and supplies.
• Maintain all areas behind the production lines and in packing clean and free of hazards.
• Load customer orders onto correct pallets and trailers at the dock, according to BMC guidelines.
• Clean and organize the dock, including sweeping and pallet organization.
• Store and organize material on the lines and in packing areas.
• Accurately distribute materials to various locations.
• Work as instructed by the Product Delivery Coordinator.
• Perform pre‑work equipment inspections.
• Remove damaged product from the lines and move it to Returns for further processing.
• Work in the box area, filling racks and keeping them supplied at all times.
• Make X and W boxes on the box erector, change over between the two sizes throughout the shift, and keep the machine clean of glue and debris.
• Perform other duties as assigned or needed.
• Operate a baler.

Qualifications

• Ability to work independently.
• Written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work under stress.
• Standing, sitting, or walking for the duration of the shift.
• Pulling, stretching, bending, and lifting for the duration of the shift.
• Visual awareness of all areas within the warehouse.
• Manual dexterity for stocking, lifting, etc.
• Good math skills (add, subtract, multiply, divide).
• Ability to work as a team to achieve maximum performance.
• Ability to perform the essential duties and responsibilities with efficiency and accuracy.
• Ability to lift 80 lbs.
