Night Sanitation Associate – Gold Star Foods

Company Overview

C&C Produce has operated the Midwest's Largest Produce Warehouse located in North Kansas City since 1992. We deliver fresh produce to schools, restaurants, grocery stores, distribution centers, and healthcare facilities.

Position Overview

C&C Produce is seeking a dedicated and detail‑oriented Night Sanitation Associate to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the cleanliness and sanitation of our production facilities, equipment, and grounds. This role is crucial in maintaining a safe and healthy environment for food production in compliance with health regulations and company standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Facility Cleaning:
    Clean and sanitize production equipment, surfaces, and utensils according to company’s sanitation procedures.
  • Ensure cleaning and sanitation schedules are adhered to and documented accurately.
  • Perform routine cleaning of floors, walls, and ceilings in production areas.
  • Dispose of waste and recycling materials properly.
  • Equipment Maintenance:
    Disassemble and reassemble equipment for cleaning purposes.
  • Inspect and maintain sanitation tools and equipment, reporting any defects or maintenance needs.
  • Regulatory Compliance:
    Follow all safety and sanitation guidelines as per OSHA, FDA, and company standards; participate in sanitation inspections and audits, supporting the quality assurance team.
  • Inventory Management:
    Monitor and replenish sanitation supplies and chemicals; ensure proper labeling and storage of cleaning chemicals.
  • Health & Safety:
    Adhere to company policies regarding health and safety practices; report any concerns to supervisor immediately.

    Collaboration:

    Work closely with other team members to maintain a clean and safe working environment; communicate effectively regarding any sanitation issues or improvements.
Qualifications
  • Education & Experience:

    High school diploma or equivalent preferred; previous sanitation, janitorial, or food production experience preferred.
  • Skills &

    Competencies:

    Knowledge of sanitation and cleaning procedures, preferably in a food production setting; ability to operate cleaning equipment and use cleaning chemicals safely; strong attention to detail and organizational skills; good communication and teamwork abilities; ability to follow written and verbal instructions; sit‑down forklift experience desirable.
  • Physical Requirements:

    Ability to lift up to 50 pounds; ability to stand, walk, and bend for extended periods; ability to work in cold environments (refrigerated areas).
Schedules

Mon – Friday. 5:00 pm – 1:30 am.

Compensation

Starting at $15 per hour.
