Overview
We are seeking a Director of Foster Care & Adoption to join our team. Starting Salary: $70,000.
This role will lead others who manage foster care and adoption and other related services in multiple counties. Through these leaders, the Director is ultimately responsible for providing strategic leadership of programs and services. The Director will lead their teams to achieve the highest program quality and financial health, while ensuring all team members strive to deliver services that lead to long-term positive impact on the safety and health of communities.
As a member of the MO Foster Care team, you will work with other team members and report to our Senior Director Family Support Programs & Services.
- Directs, plans and coordinates the work of the program staff including supervision and evaluation, training and team building.
- Organizes, attends and facilitates departmental meetings to maintain effective communication and support employee engagement and support of Cornerstones of Care's mission and strategic priorities.
- Ensures adequate and qualified staff to carry out the program activities.
- In consultation with Human Resources and other leadership staff, selects, hires, and coaches program staff.
- Implements, manages, supervises and evaluates all activities of the program in accordance with accrediting standards and other requirements, such as government contracts.
Our ideal candidate will have 5-7 years of experience providing child welfare services, preferably in foster care and adoption as well as the following:
- Master's degree in social work, psychology, counseling, or other human services related field, required.
- At least 21 years of age and pass background check, physical, and drug screening.
- A valid driver's license in the state you reside in, proof of current vehicle insurance, and reliable transportation.
