Base pay range: $35.00/hr - $50.00/hr

Giving Home Health Care has been supporting individuals impacted by health conditions related to their work in nuclear facilities for the Department of Energy since 2012. With a focus on personalized, in‑home care, we serve patients across Arizona, Colorado, Kentucky, Missouri, Nevada, New Mexico, Tennessee, Texas, and Utah.

We’re looking for a compassionate and skilled Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) in the Kansas City, MO area to administer patient care in accordance with a physician‑established care plan.

This is a 1099 contract opportunity with care provided at the patient’s residence. Patients range from weekly visits to 24‑hour care, offering multiple scheduling options from short visits to full 12‑hour shifts or a blend of both. This role is ideal for those seeking full‑time shifts during nights and weekends with flexibility.

Benefits include the ability to build lasting relationships with patients (no expiration on patient care), advocating for patients, and collaborating one‑on‑one to provide the care they need. You will work collaboratively with Certified Nursing Assistants, Home Health Aides, Case Managers, and physicians.

• Execute physician‑prescribed plans of care
• Complete compliant documentation of the care provided in the system of record
• Manage and administer prescribed medication, treatment, and therapies
• Conduct patient assessments and coordinate care
• Perform various activities associated with daily living
• Monitor vitals and GI intake and output
• Assess skin integrity and administer wound care
• Monitor for changes in the patient’s condition such as weight loss/gain, self‑care abilities, and indicators of disease progression
• Communicate with family members, physicians, case managers, and other prescribed individuals regarding the health of the patients
• Provide education and training to the patient, their family, and/or the Home Health Aide
• Work one‑on‑one with patients in their home to provide a comfortable environment
• Collaborate with and supervise Certified Nursing Assistants and Personal Care Attendants
• Perform other personal care services as necessary to meet the patient’s needs

• Graduate of an accredited college or university, Associate or Baccalaureate School of Nursing
• Current State or Compact License as a Registered Nurse or Licensed Practical Nurse
• Current CPR certification
• TB test and physical examination completed
• Maintain required insurance
• Good interpersonal skills
• Hand‑eye coordination and manual dexterity
• Ability to stand or walk for prolonged periods and lift up to 50 lbs, including moving patients
• Ability to operate under stressful conditions and make quick decisions
• Must have dependable transportation and be willing to commute to the patient’s home
• Ability to provide basic medical management up to medically fragile end‑of‑life care

• 1+ years of experience as an RN/LPN in a clinical or home health setting
• Ability to assist with two‑person assist
