Clinical Mentor RN - Be the Nurse Who Grows Other Nurses!

Are you a seasoned nurse with a passion for guiding others? Do you love seeing the "aha!" moment when everything clicks for a new nurse? If you're ready to inspire, support, and lead the next generation of caregivers, then this role is made for you!

We're looking for a Clinical Mentor (CM) - a confident, compassionate, and experienced RN who knows how to walk the talk. You'll work side-by-side with novice nurses
, mentoring them through their first steps into clinical practice and helping them grow into strong, competent professionals.

What You'll Do:

• Be a role model and mentor for new nurses - sharing real-world knowledge, support, and encouragement.
• Guide them through competency development using evidence-based practice and clinical expertise.
• Jump in on the floor as a bedside RN to support mentorship, assessments, and team coverage.
• Provide feedback, coaching, and hands‑on skills development in the moment.
• Work closely with nursing leadership, clinical education, and other teams across the organization - sometimes traveling to make it happen.
• Balance mentorship with real‑time patient care - this is a hands‑on clinical role, not a desk job.

What You’ll Need:

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
• Current Missouri RN license
• Valid BLS and ACLS certifications
• At least 3 years of recent full‑time experience in your clinical specialty
• Strong computer skills (EMR + Microsoft Office Suite)
• Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving abilities
• Flexibility to adapt to shifting priorities - and sometimes work evenings or weekends to support nurse residents
• Must work at the bedside at least 12 hours every 6 weeks to maintain clinical sharpness (and during a staffing crisis, possibly more)

Bonus Points (Preferred):

• RN certification in education or your specialty area
• Additional instructor certifications (such as BLS or ACLS instructor)
