Travel RN - Operating Room

American Traveler is seeking an experienced Operating Room RN with a Missouri or compact license and trauma experience for a day shift role with significant on-call requirements.

Job Details

• Work in a hospital Operating Room setting,

• Patient ratios are 1 RN to 2 surgical cases,

• Requires floating within scope to different departments, units, and facilities if needed,

• Day shift schedule, 5x8 hours from 6:45 AM to 3:15 PM,

• On-call required: 9-12 call shifts per 6-week schedule period, including potential weekend assignments,

• Block scheduling is not available,

Job Requirements

• Active MO or compact RN license required; both Kansas and Missouri or compact licenses must be in hand for consideration,

• BLS certification required,

• Minimum 2 years of recent OR nursing experience required, including trauma experience,

• Must have at least 1 year of in-specialty experience within the last 12 months with no employment gaps over 90 days,

• Two professional references required, one from a supervisor or above and one from a charge RN within the past year,

• Pending license accepted for consideration,

• Home address must be at least 75 miles from the facility; local candidates are not accepted,

Additional Information

• Primary responsibilities include providing perioperative care for surgical patients and responding to trauma cases,

• May be required to work weekends when on call,

• First-time travelers are welcome to apply,

• Maximum of 7 days of requested time off allowed,

• Pre-employment drug screening required; non-clearable results may result in a 6-month waiting period before reapplication,

• Online modules must be completed prior to start and annually thereafter,

• Team structure includes collaboration with surgical staff and surgeons,
