Summary
SUMMARY:
You will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of RNs, GI techs, and CNAs, working seamlessly with anesthesia and GI services to deliver exceptional care. You’ll play a vital role in ensuring top-tier care for both inpatient and outpatient populations. Assisting with advanced GI procedures such as:
- EGD
- Colonoscopies
- ERCP
- EUS
- Manometry
- Fibro Scan
- Pill Cam
- Bravo
- HALO
Additionally, you’ll provide pre-operative and post-operative recovery care, with a strong emphasis on patient safety and comfort. Rotating through all areas of GI will offer you a diverse and stimulating work environment. Our department boasts advanced certifications in GI specialties, providing opportunities for you to expand your skills and knowledge. With an in-house educator, you’ll have access to tailored education and in-services to enhance your career development.
SUMMARY:
Under the direction of the department director/supervisors/charge nurse, provides pre-, intra-, and post-procedure care for adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients.
One year medical/surgical experience required; critical care, PACU, or GI endoscopy experience strongly preferred.
Special SkillsEndoscopy, PACU, phlebotomy, and airway management preferred.
OtherBasic computer skills.
License/CertRequired:
RN (Registered Nurse) State of Missouri, ACLS (Advance Cardiac Life Support) from AHA (American Heart Association), BLS (Basic Life Support) from AHA (American Heart Association). Preferred: CGRN (Certified Gastroenterology RN).
