Travel RN - Telemetry - Progressive Care Unit

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Progressive Care Unit position requiring a Missouri or compact RN license and at least two years of recent specialty experience.

Job Details

• Work in a hospital Progressive Care Unit (PCU) setting with a mixed medical-surgical/telemetry patient population,

• Primary caseload includes post-bariatric surgery, urology, hepatobiliary, colorectal, trauma, and wound care patients,

• Night shifts (3x12 hours), 18:45 to 07:15,

• Eight weekend shifts required per 6-week schedule, distributed over Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays,

• Frequent floating required between departments, units, and facilities as needed,

Job Requirements

• Active MO or compact RN license in hand at time of consideration,

• Minimum 2 years of recent PCU or specialty experience with at least 1 year of in-specialty experience within the past 12 months and no gap in employment greater than 90 days,

• Current BLS and NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certifications required,

• Two professional references from the past year, one at supervisor level or above and one from a charge RN,

• Pending license accepted for consideration,

• Must reside at least 75 miles from the facility (locals not accepted),

Additional Information

• Responsibilities include care of complex post-surgical and trauma patients, wound vac management, and serial debridements,

• Maximum of 7 days of requested time off allowed during assignment,

• Drug screen must be clear; diluted or positive results not cleared by MRO will result in six-month waiting period before re-applying,

• Mandatory completion of facility modules prior to start and annually thereafter,

• No travel partners accepted with this assignment,
