A leading regional hospital in Kansas City, MO is seeking an experienced Manager of Emergency Room RN to provide leadership for a high-acuity, Level I Trauma Emergency Department
.
This role offers the opportunity to oversee a busy main ED (no multi-department oversight) while guiding clinical practice, operational performance, and patient care excellence. Ideal for an emergency services leader who thrives in fast-paced, high-acuity trauma environments.
Key ResponsibilitiesLead emergency nursing operations to ensure safe, efficient, and patient-centered care.
Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care aligned with emergency clinical standards.
Collaborate with physicians, nursing leadership, and interdisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care and throughput.
Manage staffing, scheduling, supplies, and departmental resources responsibly.
Support performance improvement initiatives to improve quality, safety, and patient outcomes.
Promote a team culture aligned with the organization’s mission, vision, and values.
Provide leadership during trauma activations, emergency responses, and high-acuity events.
Maintain regulatory compliance and support readiness for accreditation standards.
Required
Minimum 2 years of recent acute-care ED management experience.
Current Missouri RN license or active compact RN license
.BLS and ACLS (AHA or American Red Cross).
ENPC or PALS required upon hire.
TNCC or ATCN required within one year of hire.
Emergency nursing specialty certification (CEN, TCRN, etc.).
Leadership experience within a Level I Trauma Center
.
