American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Stroke & PCU telemetry position requiring NIHSS certification and MO or compact RN licensure.

• Stroke & Brain unit within a progressive care setting with 16 beds
• 4:1 patient ratio with tech support available
• Patient population includes telemetry, stroke, and cardiac drip patients
• Uses Welch Allyn VS machines, Hoyer lift, Sara Steady lift, telemetry monitors, bladder scanner, and Doppler equipment
• Charting completed in Meditech
• Night shift schedule, 7p-7a
• 3 shifts per week with 3-4 weekend shifts required
• Floating required to areas where competency has been demonstrated

• Active RN license (MO or compact) required
• Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS
• Minimum 1 year of recent RN experience in telemetry/PCU specialty
• Stroke care experience required
• Cardiac drip and basic dysrhythmia skills required
• No work history gaps of 90+ days or more within the past 12 months
• US SSN and DOB required for consideration
• Two professional references required for MO assignments

• Provide nursing care for stroke and cardiac telemetry patients in a high-acuity progressive care environment
• Navy blue scrubs required per facility dress code
• High employee engagement reported on this unit
• Must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility; local candidates not accepted
• First-time travelers may be considered
