We are looking for an experienced and passionate Restaurant General Manager to join our team.

Overview

As a Restaurant General Manager, your primary responsibility is to the customer, ensuring that every guest has a wonderful experience.

Qualifications

To be successful as a restaurant general manager you should have excellent communication skills and a passion for customer service. You should be someone who leads by example, both in how you interact with your team as well as how to support our guests.

Responsibilities
  • Recruit and hire restaurant staff, train and evaluate staff performance
  • Oversee food quality, manage food cost, forecast requirements, and maintain inventory
  • Develop menus and plan new and update existing menus
  • Create and execute restaurant marketing strategies
  • Manage restaurant’s tech stack and supplies including smallwares
  • Respond efficiently to customer questions and complaints, ensuring guest satisfaction
  • Organize and supervise shifts, hire new employees, and terminate employees when necessary
  • Manage and lead staff, develop hourly and salary staff
  • Control costs and minimize waste
  • Create and nurture a positive working environment
  • Implement innovative strategies to improve productivity, sales, and food quality
Job Requirements
  • Ideally, 5+ years of experience as a Restaurant General Manager or similar role
  • Ideally, 5+ years of experience customer service management
  • Extensive food and wine knowledge
  • Computer literacy
  • Familiarity with restaurant management software
  • Experience in event planning
  • Strong leadership, motivational and people skills
  • Good financial management skills
  • Critical thinker and problem-solving skills
  • Team player
  • Good time-management skills
  • Great interpersonal and communication skills
  • Culinary school diploma or BS degree in Business Administration
