Host Responsibilities Include, But Are Not Limited To
  • Answering phones and taking messages/reservations.
  • Maintaining an accurate waitlist when necessary.
  • Welcoming guests upon arrival and bidding farewell as they leave to create a positive experience.
  • Greeting guests in a friendly and upbeat manner and smiling to ensure guest satisfaction.
  • Communicating effectively with all guests.
  • Reporting problems to management immediately.
  • Coordinating seating arrangements to provide fast and courteous service.
  • Occasionally bussing tables to expedite seating of waiting guests.
  • Anticipating needs of scheduled special parties.
Host Qualifications
  • At least one year of experience in customer service and/or hosting.
  • Fluent in English; additional languages preferred.
  • Strong communication skills to interact effectively with guests, employees, and third parties.
  • Ability to read and write, especially when managing reservations and seating charts.
  • Basic mathematical skills.
  • Availability to work nights, weekends, and holidays.
Position Requirements
  • Attention to detail.
  • Ability to carry or lift items weighing up to 50 pounds.
  • Handling objects, including food and utensils, and operating phones.
  • Standing, bending, stooping, and kneeling for long periods.
  • Ability to stay in one location at the entrance or exit and move safely throughout the venue.
