Part‑time Clothing Clerk - Kansas City Missouri Temple

We are seeking a part‑time Clothing Clerk to provide an environment where patrons have a positive and uplifting experience each time they come to the temple. The role involves laundering, mending, and caring for clothing and linens used in the temple, and providing guidance to volunteers and service missionaries.

Shift Information — Availability required during evenings and on Saturdays.

• Operate commercial laundry equipment and prepare clothing and linens—sorting, washing, drying, hanging, pressing, folding, and assembling (60‑70%).
• Train and oversee service missionaries/volunteers in laundry operations and prioritization (10‑15%).
• Provide courteous patron service, maintain adequate clothing on‑hand, and may oversee clothing rental operations (10‑15%).
• Perform preventive equipment maintenance, cleaning, spot‑cleaning, and track production records (5‑10%).

• At least 1 year of work experience, preferably in laundry, retail, or customer service.
• Ability to organize, lead, and manage volunteers.
• Ability to follow instructions and work well with others.
• Ability to focus and stay on task.
• Demonstrated excellence with customer service.
• Demonstrated teachability and willingness to follow instructions.
• Good verbal communication skills.
• Physical capability to lift 30 lbs, bend, kneel, stoop, pull, push, climb a step stool or ladder, and stand for long periods.
• Basic computer skills.
