• Operate baling equipment to control excess non-salable merchandise and supply salvage merchandise to external vendors.
• Operate a stand‑alone tipping machine, maintaining consistent bale density.
• Sort non‑bale material from those acceptable for baling.
• Place bales in holding areas.
• Use hand stacker and forklift to load bales onto trailers or move throughout facility.
• Sort product down to separate salvage lines.
• Perform duties according to safety expectations and procedures.
• Ensure the physical safety of the back room and sales floor.
• Communicate safety issues and concerns to ensure quick resolution.

• At least 6 months of work history, unless this is your first job.
• High school diploma or equivalent is not required.
• Avoidance of any conflict of interest with product or customers.
• Appropriate and professional communication and demeanor.
• Ability to remain on task and meet production standards.
• Commitment to the mission of the organization.
• Understanding of the importance of the donor and salvage processes and how they support the mission.
• Must be able to tolerate loud noises and dust.
• Must be able to perform all job duties using required safety equipment.
• Ability to become certified to operate a forklift and/or hand stacker.
