Position: Outside Sales Representative Sales Kansas City, MO

Overview

Key Trak, a division of Reynolds and Reynolds, seeks a top sales performer in a competitive market. Key Trak pioneered computerized drawer solutions to safeguard and track keys and assets and develops industry-specific software. The company is an industry leader in key control and asset management and is dedicated to evolving and producing more secure systems.

Responsibilities
  • Sell key control and asset management products to multi-family markets, law enforcement, state and local government, education, and commercial markets.
  • Spend time equally selling to each sector, grow the customer base, and manage and maintain customer accounts and relationships.
  • Develop your own leads and build a client base through sales to new and/or existing key accounts within your market.
  • Prospect potential customers to demonstrate features and benefits, present proposals, and close deals.
  • Operate as a self-motivated, disciplined, and outgoing sales professional focused on personal and industry leadership.
Compensation

Base salary: $50,000. Total targeted compensation for the first year is expected to be $90,000–$110,000/year including commissions.

Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
  • 2+ years of outside sales experience
  • Strong closing and negotiating skills
  • Recent cold-calling experience
  • Computer literacy, telephone skills, and ability to reach decision-makers
  • Ability to lift, carry, and maneuver 70 lbs of demonstration equipment
  • Goal oriented, coachable, organized, and creative
  • Experience in new business sales preferred
  • Willingness to travel, with up to 50% overnight travel
  • Valid driver’s license with fewer than 2 moving violations in the last 3 years and no OVI/DUI/DWI in the last 5 years
